Nine-year-old pianist and Lake Arrowhead resident, Sydney Aaron performed on Sunday, March 21 at the Honors Festival in San Bernardino. She earned this award by receiving excellent marks on her performance at the Certificate of Merit evaluations in February, sponsored by the Music Teachers Association.
At the Honors Festival, Sydney performed a Prelude by J.S. Bach, which she also performed at her church for the composer’s birthday on March 21. She will perform the piece once more at the Southern California Bach Festival on April 11 and compete for a performance at the Bach Regional Festival.
Sydney, a student of Noëlle Tinturin, has been studying piano for four years. She began composing her own music before she even began her piano lessons. She also takes ballet at the Lake Arrowhead School of Dance and dances in the Nutcracker every year. Sydney is a 4th grade student at the Lake Arrowhead Christian School, where she is also learning to play the violin in the Arrowhead Arts string program. Congratulations to this dedicated and talented young musician!
